IP testing determines a product’s resistance to dust and water ingress under standardized conditions. It is widely required across automotive and defense equipment, where protection against environmental exposure is critical for operational reliability.

IPX1: Vertical falling water drops at 1.0 (+0.5/-0) mm/min for 10 minutes.

IPX2: Vertical falling water drops with 15° tilt at 3.0 (+0.5/-0) mm/min for 2.5 minutes on each tilt position.

Turntable Size: 350 mm diameter.
2 IPX3 & IPX4 Oscillating tube spray ±60° (180° total arc) from the vertical, maximum distance 200 mm, for 10 minutes.

Spray nozzle test at 10 L/min for 5 minutes.
3 IPX5 & IPX6 IPX5: Water jet using 6.3 mm nozzle from 2.5–3.0 m distance at 12.5 L/min ±5%. Test duration: 1 min/m² (minimum 3 minutes).

IPX6: Powerful water jet using 12.5 mm nozzle from 2.5–3.0 m distance at 100 L/min ±5%. Test duration: 1 min/m² (minimum 3 minutes).
4 IPX7 & IPX8 Tank Dimensions: 2000 × 1500 × 1500 mm.

DUT immersed 1 m below the water surface for 30 minutes.

IPX8 testing conducted as per IS/IEC 60529:2001, Clause 14.2.8.
5 IPX9K High-pressure, high-temperature water jets applied at 0°, 30°, 60°, and 90° angles.
6 Rain Drip Test Water Volume: 280 L/m²/hr
