Introduction
Rapid Temperature Cycling Testing evaluates a product’s ability to withstand repeated exposure to extreme temperature changes. The test simulates harsh environmental conditions that can cause thermal expansion and contraction, helping assess the durability and reliability of materials, components, and assemblies.
Temperature & Humidity Testing
Objective
The objective of the Rapid Temperature Cycling Test was to verify the ability of the PCCU, ICU, MSB, Selection Box, and DPB units to withstand rapid transitions between +55°C and -40°C without developing any physical damage or abnormalities. The test was conducted in accordance with customer specifications referenced from JSS55555:2020 Clause L2J – Test #22 (Procedure 1, Condition B).
Key Result
The samples were subjected to three temperature cycling sequences with a total test duration of 18 hours. Upon completion of the test and subsequent visual inspection, no external damage or physical abnormalities were observed in any of the tested samples, demonstrating their ability to withstand severe thermal stress conditions.
Test Outcome: Successfully completed with no external damage and no physical abnormalities observed.
